Can Convenience Link Tabs Be Added to Blue Ox Baseplates That Don't Have Them?

Convenience tabs I noticed this base plate does not have them and Im wondering if they can be added--BX1826

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1826 for a Nissan Pathfinder do not have the convenience link tabs as you mentioned. They cannot be added to the product but the manufacturer suggests installation in the manner shown in the attached photo. The manufacturer doesn't warranty any baseplates that have been customized in any way so they don't offer the tabs to weld in place.
