Will Older Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller Work on 2014 Ram 1500

Question:

I have a 2014 ram 1500 and would like to know if the tekonsha voyager brake control will work on this truck. If it is compatible is there a wiring adapter for it? I see a lot of patent numbers on the controller but the only thing that looks killlike a model number is the word voyager on the front.

You can absolutely use your Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller # 39510 on your 2014 Ram 1500. To install the controller there is indeed a wiring adapter available with part # 3023-P that will ease installation. It looks like you have an older model Voyager with blunt end wires so you will just want to cut off the controller-end plug of the adapter and splice the wiring from the controller to them. They will match up color to color.

Then the vehicle end plug of the adapter will plug right into the factory port behind the dash of your Ram. I have attached a sample install video with a different controller on your 2014 Ram 1500 just so you can see exactly where this factory port is located.
