I took a look at the online owner's manual for a 2017 Chevy Equinox and it said that this vehicle can be flat towed; to do so there are a number of parts you will need, which I'll list for you.
- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-523184-5
- Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522
- Safety Chains: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Fuse Bypass: Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch # RM-76517 (If you have a 4-cylinder engine) OR Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch # RM76511 (If you have a V6 engine)
- Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25
- Supplemental Braking System: SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 OR if your motor home has air brakes: SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motor Homes with Air Brakes # SM99243
You may also need a high-low adapter in order to keep your Equinox level, and I've added a link to a help article which shows you how to determine if you need an adapter as well as a link to our selection of adapters. Additionally, I have added links to instruction manuals, video reviews and installations for you to take a look at.
