2015 Ford F-150 Upgrade to 7-Way Trailer Controller from Factory 4-Way
Question:
2015 f150 universal 7 pole kit with factory 4 flat After installing the universal 4 pole to 7 and 4 pole kit, is running this full kit necessary if I got the vehicle specific wiring harness into the tekonsha brake controller? I can not find one video that shows this full install. With that harness there should be one ran back to the rear of the truck right if I have factory harness up near dash.

On your 2015 Ford F-150, you will use the # ETBC7 kit to adapt your 4-way to a 7-way and allow for the other functions. Since you have the factory 4-way and connection under your dash, there will be a hot lead 12V wire that is either orange or red in color and the brake controller output wire which is blue to connect to your 7-way. These wires are run to the end of your diver's side frame rail so you will still need some of the wiring in the kit to connect them to your 7-way black and blue wires. You won't need to install the circuit breakers for this application. You can splice the yellow wire into your reverse light power at your driver's side tail light.
