Troubleshooting Running Lights Not Functioning from Same Circuit as Brake Lights on Trailer
Question:
I have 2013 f150 on truck plug at connector I have 12v for trailer. When we pug in connector from7 to four plug Iam only getting 2v on running light push brake on it gets 12v . No running light on trailer.

The running light and the brake light circuits of trailer wiring are carried on separate circuits. If you are trying to test for both circuit functions on the same wire that would be the issue. The stoplight circuit and the blinker circuits are carried on the same circuit while the running light circuit is carried on it's own wire.
