How To Use Front Mount Hitch and Bull Bar Together on a 2012 Toyota Tacoma 4x4
Question:
I have the above truck and want to install a front trailer hitch saw the curt model on your web page, are there other versions that fit better? is it possible to save the OEM skid plate and have the front hitch install over my existing Warn bull bar setup? appreciate the help

Helpful Expert Reply:
The best fit front mount trailer hitch we have for your 2012 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 is the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65070. The reason that this is the best fit trailer hitch is because it allows you to retain the skid shield unlike the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31313.
Unfortunately, you will most likely need to remove your bull bar as it will mount in the same location as either front mount hitch. This is the case for most vehicles though so it's not just an issue on the Tacoma. However, you can still use your winch with a winch tray like the Bulldog Winch Receiver Mount Kit part # BDW20155.
I have attached a photo of the hitch installed for you as well.
