Generally speaking, it is not a huge deal to upgrade one size (12" to 13") so long as you have clearance but the other thing to make note of is the surface area on the hub. If you have a 2,000 lb trailer axle then your hub is likely only rated for use with 8"-12" wheels but if you have a 3,500 lb trailer axle then your hub is likely rated for use with 13"-15" wheels. However, there are hubs for either axle that will allow you to upgrade/degrade wheels so if you can confirm your axle capacity I would be glad to check on options if necessary.

For a 13" wheel/tire combo, I recommend the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel part # AM31952 for load range C or part # AM31994 for load range D. These assemblies are both 24.1" diameter x 7" wide and come with a galvanized wheel that is ideal for boat trailers. They also come with a radial tire which is better for highway use. Please make sure your hubs have a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern if you want to use this wheel/tire.
