Determining Color Wire for 7 Pin Trailer Wiring Harness on 2005 Ford F-150

Hi I’m try to figure out the wire color for the trailer connector on a 05 Ford F-150 I know green is right turn yellow is left brown is parking lights white is ground and blue is electric brake the other two wires are orange and black with pink stripe what are those to for

On your 2005 Ford F-150, I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to determine the function of the orange and black/pink wires. I recommend first checking the orange wire which I believe is the 12V hot wire from your battery. This should immediately light up. The black/pink stripe wire is what I assume is the reverse light wire. Test this and you should get no power, then when you shift your vehicle into reverse, this wire should light up. If this is the case, then you will be all set.
If the wires are connected to a 7-way, the pin locations should also help with function. See attached photo.
