How Easy is It to Install Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
Will this controler work on my 2017 Honda Ridgeline by just plugging it in the RV connector and trailer? Or Would I also need to do something to the factory brake control plug under the dash?

The really great thing about the Curt Echo part # C51180 is that it only requires a functional 7-way on the vehicle and a smart phone and it's good to go. So you'd just need to pair this to your phone after plugging it into the 7-way and you'd be ready to tow. You would not need to use the brake controller port on your 2017 Honda Ridgeline at all.
I attached a review video for more info on this as well.
If you were in need of a 7-way for your Ridgeline the Tekonsha kit part # 118288 would be all that you'd need.
