Will Demco Recon Fit in Long Bed Truck with L Shaped Fuel Transfer Tank

Question:

Will this demco hitch fit in the bed of a long base truck that has an l-shaped fuel tank. I dont know if it pulling the camper 3in further forward would be an issue or not.

The Demco Recon part # DM8550045 measures 28 inches front to back and 30.5 inches left to right. The center of the base of the Recon installs into the gooseneck ball hole in the truck. So you would need about 14 inches of clearance behind your gooseneck hole for the Demco Recon to fit in the truck. Your transfer tank needs to be 14 inches or more away from the gooseneck hole.

The L-shaped transfer fuel tanks we sell are 24 inches tall. You want to make sure the tank is not going to interfere with the overhang of the fifth wheel trailer while being towed by the Recon. Since the tank is probably not as tall as the bed rails then you should not have a problem with vertical clearance. Just keep in mind you want 4 to 6 inches of clearance between the bed rails and the fifth wheel overhang.
