Replacement Trailer Brake Magnet Recommendation for Dexter 10 inch Assemblies
Question:
I have a 2006 Aliner Expedition camper with 10inch Dexter electric brakes. The front of the electric actuator is getting worn because it is rubbing against the vertical face of the drum/hub where the lug bolts go through. Is the actuator supposed to ride on the drum?

Sounds like your brake magnets are getting worn as they are what grabs the drum to apply the brakes. This isn't uncommon as there's quite a bit of friction there. Basically the magnet gets activated and grabs onto the drum which then applies the brakes as they hub turns. For a replacement magnet you'd want the part # BP01-110 and you'd be set.
