Expert Reply:
If your F-450-based motorhome needs an upgrade from 4-pole flat wiring to a 7-way setup so you can send brake power to your tow dolly you can use 7-way install kit # ETBC7 which includes the 7-way adapter as well as the wiring, connectors and other parts needed to wire a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195. Your existing 4-pole plugs into the adapter's mating plug for the basic light signals and you'll make three other circuit connections to add auxiliary 12V power, brake power and a reverse light signal.
If the RV has no 4-pole wiring at this time then you will also need a kit for that, # 18252, which taps into the tail light wiring for those basic lighting signals. This will then plug into the 7-way included in the # ETBC7 kit.
Once installed, the 7-way will provide all light signals, auxiliary 12V power and brake controller output power for the tow dolly's electric brakes.
