Best Wiring and Fuse Bypasses for Flat Towing a 2016 Honda HR-V
Question:
We have potentially 3 fuses to disconnect for towing our 2016 Honda HR-V behind our Diesel RV. One engine compartment fuse and to interior fuses. Do we need three switches or can we reduce to one? We will probably never tow longer than 8 hours, and we are hoping to install a towed battery charger. What are your recommendations! Thank you,

To make disconnecting the 3 fuses on your 2016 Honda HR-V I recommend installing the FuseMaster Fuse Bypasses # RM76511 and # RM76512. This gives you the ability to "remove" (disconnect) the 3 fuses on your HR-V without physically removing them. There are no switches that allow you to disconnect 3 fuses with 1 switch but this reduces it to just 2 switches.
For wiring I highly recommend the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which splices into the wiring behind your tail lights and also allows you to connect the Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to the center pin of the 6-Way so that you can keep your battery charged.
For a complete flat towing setup you also need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
