The Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 36334, will fit your 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5 Limited. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the hitch.
If you are going to do some towing, the recommended ball mount is Draw-Tite Ball Mount, part # 36071. For a hitch ball you can use Tow Ready 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19256, or Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19258.
For trailer wiring, use Wiring Harness, part # C59496. I have included a link to the installation details for the wiring.
