Adding LED Pod Lights to Trailer Rack

Question:

I have a 4x8 utility trailer with a truck rack mounted on it and I would like to add 2 LED pods onto the trailer that can be controlled VIA switch. My question is, how would I do this exactly? What power source would I use? Thanks!

Adding LED pod lights to your trailer's rack system will require an auxiliary power source such as a 12 volt battery that you will need to mount on your trailer and wire the lights to.

The Vision X Optimus Round Prime Pod Light Kit # XIL-OPR120KIT which has a wide spot beam or the Vision X Optimus Round Prime Pod Light Kit # XIL-OPR110KIT which has a narrow spot beam has the wiring and switch included in the kit. If you take a look at the accompanying photo you can see how these lights wire to the battery. The power wires will run to the positive post of the battery and ground wire to the negative post.

For a battery box I strongly recommend the TorkLift PowerArmor Solar Single Locking Battery Box # TLA7720RS because it has an access hole for the wiring, is locking to secure your battery and uses a solar panel to charge your battery so you do not need to re-charge it all the time like you would with a battery box like the Tow-Rax Battery Box # TWSP12BP and CTEK MULTI US 3300 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger # CTEK56353.

I have added links to a number of video reviews for you to take a look at as well.
