Fuse Block Power Connections to Install Brake Controller in 2001 Silverado

Question:

There is power to the fuse for stud 1 and 2 but no power to them with the fuses in place. There is no continuity from the fuse to the studs also. Do I have to do some wiring under the fuse box to connect the fuse to the stud. I am trying to install a brake controller I purchased from you. thanks

You can refer to the linked article concerning brake controller installation in a 1999-2006 Silverado to see the steps needed to activate power for brake controller installation. Under the heading "Step 2 - Under the Hood" there are photos to illustrate. Photo D shows the wires that need to be connected at the Accessory Fuse Block. The linked photo shows these too. Additional steps are detailed for you as well.
