Recommended Transmission and Oil Cooler for 2013 Nissan Altima

Question:

My 2013 Nissan Altima whines after be driven for an hour when its hot outside. Unfortunately I live in Texas and commute 100 miles each way to work daily. I havent had any issues for the last few months because the weather has been cool, but I know 100+ degree days are on their way. Would a transmission cooler solve my problem? I saw yall reccomend one for a 2012 Altima and am hoping thats a solution for me also. Do you reccomend the same kind for me?

The ambient temperature can definitely have an impact on your engine and transmission. My recommendation for your 2013 Nissan Altima is to use the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler with Multiple Threads # D15902. This will cool your transmission and engine oil to allow your engine to operate in a similar way to what you currently experience in the cooler weather.

If you just want the transmission cooler the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient # D13503 will fit your Altima and will be a big help to your transmission on your 200 mile commute.
