Alpena Trailblaze Tailgate LED Light Bar Does Not Show Passenger Side Lights

Question:

I installed a new brake light turn signal Alpena trail blaze 3 piece LED light on my Silverado tried plugging it in and all that happens is the driver side and middle section of under the tailgate brake and turn signal light are the only ones that light up. So I bought a new trailer hook up and tried it same thing. But if I barely touch the top and bottom of the four post plug in then they all turn on but the dont blink and it looks like someone pushed the brake. So Im stuck tried and checked everything! Any ideas???

For starters, I recommend that you check the ground for the 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle as this could very well be causing your issue. If the ground checks out then this leads me to believe there is an issue with the trailer connector on your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado or the trailer connector on the Alpena Trailblaze Tailgate LED Lights part # ALP77229.

I see you said that you replaced the 4-way but I didn't catch if it was the 4-way on the vehicle or the 4-way on the light bar. If it was the vehicle 4-way then more than likely there is an issue with the 4-way trailer connector on the light bar so you will need to file a warranty claim. If you don't want to file a warranty claim with the manufacturer then you can replace the 4-way with part # HMC20031 or hardwire it in with part # SWC501746-1.

If you already replaced the 4-way trailer connector on the light bar then replace the one on the vehicle with part # HM48190.
