Trailer Hitch and E-Bike Rack Recommendation for 2017 Honda Civic
Question:
Hi guys 2017 Honda civic hatchback LX with 2 Rad power bikes each weighing 67-68lbs. Mini and Rover Rad recommends this bike rack. Im hearing my car can only accommodate a 1-1/4 hitch due to height no factory mods on it.. I guess its just low Can you please comment on if this rack and those bikes can handle a 2inch adapter? Hollywood racks looks like they are staying not to use an adapter but this rack only looks like it works with a 2inch. OR do you also sell this with a 1-1/4 ? Thanks in advance!

If you can get the weight of your bikes down to 65 lbs we have a great e-bike rack solution with the Thule EasyFold part # TH903202 as it is designed for e-bikes and can fit Class 1 hitches like what your 2017 Honda Civic hatch would have installed. It also comes with a ramp to make loading the bikes easier as well.
For a trailer hitch you'd want the Curt part # C92UR. This is a nice hitch with a hidden cross tube for a clean look once installed.
There isn't a Hollywood Racks bike rack solution that would have enough capacity and fit a Class I hitch. 2 inch adapters won't work either as they cut the capacity of the hitch.
