I spoke to my contact at Thule about the Thule Urban Glide 2 Stroller and Jogger part # TH10101924 and they informed me that the Baby Supporter part # TH20201517 is recommended for use on children from 10-12 months therefore, yes this will be needed for the Thule Urban Glide 2 with your 6 month old child.

Please note that if you are using either a Chicco or Maxi-Cosi car seat then we have an adapter for you that will allow you to easily transfer the stroller into your car seat, the Chicco Infant Car Seat Adapter for Thule Glide 2 and Urban Glide 2 part # TH20110741 or the Maxi-Cosi Infant Car Seat Adapter for Thule Glide 2 and Urban Glide 2 part # TH20110740.
