Comparing Trailer Hitches for 2015 Dodge Journey
Question:
Im just wondering who makes this product. I Draw Tite is a sister company of Reese. I have contacted Curt and they do say that the C13201 is a confirmed fit for a 2015 Dodge journey AWD sxt and the e98845 looks the same as the Curt 13201 the question is it?

The Curt Trailer Hitch # C13201 and etrailer.com Trailer Hitch # E98845 are essentially the same but with a different finish; the Curt hitch has a gloss black powder coat finish and the etrailer hitch has a matte black powder coat finish, and some people do prefer one finish to the other.
Both of these trailer hitches will fit your 2015 Dodge Journey and will install the same way, without requiring any drilling. Additionally, both have a 4,000 lb towing capacity, 400 lb tongue weight capacity and come with a lifetime warranty. I have added a link to a video of the Curt hitch being installed on a '15 Journey which you can use as a guide for the installation of either hitch.
If you need a wiring harness to add a 4-flat and power your trailer's lights it will depend on if your '15 Journey has incandescent or LED taillights. Should you have incandescent lights you will need T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118567 or if you have LED taillights you need T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118536.
I also recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which is for 2” hitches and may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip.
You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise.
