The 16K Reese 5th wheel slider hitch, # RP30075, can handle the gross trailer weight of 12,000 pounds that you have. But make sure that the pin weight of the trailer does not exceed the 3,750 pound capacity of the hitch and the capacities of the truck.
This slider offers 10 inches of travel which will most likely be enough to safely make 90 degree turns. To be sure, you can measure to see. On the custom installation kit, # RP50082-58, the center of the hitch jaws will be 2-15/16 inches forward of the center of the rear axle of the truck. Measure from that point to the back of the truck cab and then add 10 inches to the total. You will also need to factor in the length, positive or negative, of the trailer pin box as well. This is measurement A.
Next measure the width of the trailer and divide by 2 to get half. This is measurement B. Subtract B from A to get C (A - B = C). C is the amount of clearance you will have. You need at least 4 inches to safely make 90 degree turns.
I have included a link to the installation instructions for the install kit and a link to a video showing a typical installation.
