Demco Autoslide Hitch Versus PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
Can you tell compare the Demco hitch to a pullrite hitch. I own a 2015 Ram 3500 with the factory in to the bed of my truck. I pull an 11,000 lb Reflection 5th wheel. I currently own a Curt manual slide hitch that I purchased here. Thanks

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide is very similar to the PullRite Superglide hitch. They both use the pivoting head to determine the turning clearances needed. The Demco Hijacker Autoslide has the encased mechanism underneath where the Superglide is more exposed. They both use capture plates to hold to the pin box so the head will pivot and give you the proper amount of slide. Both will use adapters of different styles to fit the factory pucks in your Ram.
The biggest difference between the two is the PullRite is not height adjustable. Any height adjustment has to be made at the pin box instead of on the hitch. This is very limiting for some applications and tall bed rail heights.
The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 18,000 # DM8550034 will suit your 5th wheel trailer well giving you the height adjustability on the side plates of the hitch giving you 3 settings of 15-1/4", 16-1/2", and 18". It also comes with a 5 year warranty. This hitch uses adapter plate # DM6099 which will fit your factory pucks. If you want to plan for a bigger trailer at some point there is also the 21K hitch # DM8550035.
