Is The Height Of The B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel BWRVK3500 Adjustable
Question:
I see on the page for this fifth wheel hitch, one says it is fixed and no height adjustment and the other hitch on the same page says it has an adjustable height. I want to make sure I order the one that has an ajustable height. I have a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Dually. Thanks

The B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3500 is indeed a fixed 5th wheel hitch meaning it does not slide front to back for increased cab clearance. However, it does have height adjustments which will allow you position the skid plate between 16-1/4" - 18-1/4" above the bed floor. This is going to then ensure that the trailer is level to the vehicle while in tow so you don't run into any sway issues. In order to adjust the height you will need to remove the head and reinstall the pivot arms in one of three different heights which you can see in the attached photo. The position of the locking jaws can also be adjusted to sit 1" or 3" in front of the rear axle. This adjustment is not available on most other 5th wheel hitches and is designed to allow for the best possible towing experience.
If you take a look at the 1:50 mark in the attached review video you can get a better look at the adjustment holes.
