How to Tow a 5th Wheel Trailer with B&W Gooseneck Hitch on a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
Question:
I am purchasing a 2016 Chevrolet 3500 dually that has a DW Gooseneck plate under the bed. What Fifth Wheel Hitch assembly do I need to work with the Gooseneck hole in the bed of the truck? It needs to be rated up to 20,000 lbs. Also will I need to purchase anything other than the fifth wheel hitch assembly? thanks.

I am assuming you mean B&W Gooseneck Hitch and not DW Gooseneck Hitch as I was not able to find any reference to this online. If this is the case then you can use the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3500 in order to tow your 5th wheel trailer. This hitch is rated up to 20,000 lbs which is the highest available that will work with the B&W Gooseneck Hitch.
The B&W Companion is an excellent 5th wheel hitch option and is largely considered to be on of the best on the market. It has 1" think dual locking jaws which will do a phenomenal job of reducing back and forth movement of the kingpin inside the jaws (chucking). It also has an easy two pin head removal system that will allow for one person to install and remove the hitch.
In order to complete your towing setup you will also most likely need an in-bed wiring harness for which I recommend using the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness part # 50-97-410. I have attached an install video of this wiring harness for you as well as a review of the 5th wheel hitch.
