How to Charge Trailer Battery with 7-Way Connector and Only Activate Circuit When Key is On
Question:
I am wanting to charge two batteries on my trailer through my 7 pin at the back of my truck. The problem I have is that it is live at the 7 pin all the time. From what I have read I will need an isolator sylanoid thing. My question is how do I wire this?

You will want to install the isolation solenoid part # PK5231201 on the 12 volt accessory circuit of your 7-way so that it only is active when the truck is on.
I attached a picture that shows how to wire up the solenoid as well.
