Best Trailer Hitch to Use with Bike Rack on 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
Hey there. I have a new Subaru Outback wagon 2019 model and I'm looking for a good hitch. I will be using my bike rack with it so I want something that is strong and looks nice but isn't a pain to get to like some of the crazy hidden ones I see on your site. Which one do you recommend?

The best trailer hitch for use with a bike rack on your 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon is the etrailer.com Class III Hitch # e98847 because of its robust 600 pound tongue weight capacity and its ideal bumper clearance measurement.
This particular hitch when installed on the 2019 Outback has a measurement of 3-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper. This essentially provides the perfect balance of not sticking out far enough to bruise any nearby shins but certainly not recessed enough to cause difficulty when mounting your rack. I also really like the unique matte black finish on this hitch that gives it a bit of a rugged look that's resistant to scratches and scuffs.
I have attached an installation video on your vehicle that you can use for reference.
It sounds like you might already have a bike rack but just in case you're still looking I highly recommend the Kuat Transfer 2 # KU74FR that will secure the bikes by their front wheels without any frame contact. It also features a convenient foot pedal that allows you to tilt the rack back (with the bikes still loaded) for easy rear cargo access on your Subaru Outback.
I have included a short video demonstration on this rack along with a link that will take you to our complete selection of hitch-mounted carriers.
