Recommended Weight Distribution System with 2 Inch Hitch Ball for Jayco 16XRB Camping Trailer
Question:
Can a 2inch ball be used on curt weight distribution hitch 17222? I am towing a 3500 GVWR Jayco 16XRB camper

A 2 inch hitch ball is not recommended for the 17222 system you referenced as even thought the hitch ball # A-90 will fit, the bars are far too strong for that trailer and will give you a rough ride.
For a system designed for that weight, I recommend the Fastway e2 # FA94-00-0600 with that same hitch ball. This will better fit the total tongue weight range of the trailer and any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I've attached some videos and an article to assist.
