I recommend going with the Demco Autosliding Hijacker for the short bed on your 2016 Ram 2500. The advantage to using an autosliding 5th wheel hitch is that you don't have to get out of the cab of your pickup to make tight turns while towing like you would with a manual sliding 5th wheel hitch. You said you have the factory gooseneck setup so this should include the 4 pucks as well. If this isn't the case let me know and I can help you find something else.
Some other great things about the Hijacker include the built-in brackets which reduce the need for a locking plate (although they are required for use with the following cushioned pin boxes: Glide Ride, Mor Ryde, Trailair Tri Glide, Trailair Flexair, Rota Flex, and 5th Airborne), the single-piece wraparound jaw which provides full 360 degree contact with the king pin, and the 3/4" steel locking bar that reinforces the connection.
The Autosliding Hijacker comes in both an 18K version # DM8550034 and a 21K version # DM8550035 depending on your towing needs and you just need the rail adapter # DM6099 for it to fit with the OEM prep package on your pickup.
Attached is a photo of this setup installed on a 2018 Ram 2500 for you to reference as well as some review videos.
