How to Tell if Blue Ox Patriot Brake System Has 12V Power
Question:
I purchased a blue ox patriot braking system and my question is how do I know if it’s charging. Is there an indicator that lets me know it is fully charged.

If you just purchased the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR then, unlike its predecessors, you actually don't need to charge this unit as it doesn't have that feature. I confirmed this with my contact at Blue Ox.
If you bought one of the older versions, BRK2010 or BRK2012, then the only indicator light on it is a little red light on the power cord itself. This doesn't tell you when it is fully charged but it does let you know that the unit is getting 12V of power. Just plug it into 12V power for 8 hours and you are good to go! Just remember that it still requires active 12V power to operate. If your tow vehicle doesn't have an active 12V outlet (when flat towing) then we have the Kit # RM-9332 which you can use to power the Patriot.
Attached is a photo of the older BRK2012 unit where I highlighted the red light for you to reference.
