Recommended Trailer Fender for 2012 Little Guy Joey Trailer

Question:

I have a 2012 Little Guy Joey 5foot x 7foot tear trailer that needs fender replacement. This trailer is not made anymore and am having a hard time finding fenders for it. The fenders on it now are smooth aluminum 29.5 x 9 x 14 for 13 inch tires. Would a Fulton Single Axle Trailer Fender with Top Step - Silver Plastic - 13inch Wheels Item # F008563 work. My fenders do not have mounting brakets they are attached with screws and glue to the side of the camper. Can the Fulton fenders be attached the same way since they have a skirt on the back?

The Fulton Single Axle Trailer Fender with Top Step # F008563 referenced in your question does have extremely similar dimensions to the current fender on your Little Guy Joey Trailer. The fender measures 29-1/4 inches long, 9 inches wide, and 12 inches tall so it should work great as a replacement around your 13 inch tires.

Customers usually use existing mounting brackets to install the new fenders but in your case I recommend adding some L-shaped brackets like # PF775-BKT-2. One end of the bracket will be underneath the fender and the other will be what attaches to the trailer. I have attached just a sample image of the brackets in place on a fender so you can get a clearer picture of this.

You may be able to bolt the fender directly to the frame with some screws and glue but I recommend going with brackets for a more secure attachment along with the ability to more easily replace fenders in the future if the need arises since the brackets will already be in place.

I have attached a short video review on this fender that you can check out as well.
