Demco Hijacker or PullRite SuperGlide for Short Bed on a 2016 Ram 2500

Question:

I am towing a 2011 Keystone 290RL 5Th wheel, after reading many reviews I am leaning toward the Demco 8550034 instead of the Pullrite 4400. Was wondering what your thoughts are? 2016 Ram 2500, 4x4, Laramie, OEM tow pucks, megacab, 6 1/2 foot bed, auto leveling.

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550034 is definitely the better option over the PullRite SuperGlide 4400.

Although they do share some similarities (like the autosliding function, single-jaw to secure the king pin, and cushioned heads) the Demco stands out because it has 3 different height settings, 15-1/4", 16-1/2", and 18", features a 3/4" steel locking bar to reinforce the king pin connection, and doesn't require a locking plate unless you are using a special pin box. The PullRite only has one height setting and requires a locking plate no matter what pin box you have.

To top it all off the Demco Hijacker sits at a lower price point without the quality suffering. You get a fantastic 5th wheel hitch for a great price! All you need to fit it in your 2016 Ram 2500 with the short bed and OEM pucks is the adapter # DM6099.

Please note that locking plates are required for the following pin boxes Glide Ride, Mor Ryde, Trailair Tri Glide, Trailair Flexair, Rota Flex, and 5th Airborne.

Attached are some review videos and a photo of this setup installed on a 2018 Ram 2500 for you to reference.
