Troubleshooting SH Error Code on Prodigy P2 Brake Controller When Battery Connected on Trailer
Question:
I get SH code when the battery on the trailer is connected? I can disconnect the battery or connect to a trailer w/o a battery and all is well? Any ideas?

If you are getting an SH error code on the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 only when the battery on your trailer is hooked up then there is likely a short somewhere between the brake output wire and 12V wire on the trailer.
I first recommend inspecting the 7-Way connector on the trailer for any debris or corrosion inside the pins that could be causing a short, cleaning out as needed. Then your best bet is to try and trace the brake output wire and 12V wire from the back of the connector down the trailer and check for any frayed or exposed areas that might be making contact with another wire.
If this does not resolve the issue please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
