The best 5th wheel hitch for a pickup with a short bed, like what is on your 2018 Ram 3500 is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th wheel hitch. Since this 5th wheel hitch has an autoslide feature you don't have to get out of your truck cab and unlock/lock your 5th wheel hitch for tight turning situations. It has 14" of front to back travel which is enough to allow you to make 90 degree turns!
The Hijacker comes in an 18K version # DM8550034 as well as a 21K version # DM8550035 and either one fits directly to the pucks in the bed of your Ram using the Adapter # DM6099. Some other features of this 5th wheel hitch are the 3 height settings (15-1/4", 16-1/2", and 18"), cushioning polyurethane to help with hookup and chucking, a single-piece jaw for full 360 degree king pin contact, and built-in brackets to stabilize your pin box. I have attached a review video of this 5th wheel hitch for you to see it in action.
Some additional parts you may be interested in are the Lifting Bracket # DM6100 to assist in installing/removing the Hijacker, and the Cover # DM14844 to help keep the head unit in good shape.
Please note that locking plates are required for use with Glide Ride, Mor Ryde, Trailair Tri Glide, Trailair Flexair, Rota Flex, and 5th Airborne pin boxes. If you have one of these pin boxes just let me know and I can let you know what locking plate is needed.
