Reversing the Procedure for Flat Towing a 2017 GMC Canyon to Drive the Vehicle

How to reverse the procedure to be able to drive my 2017 GMC Canyon!

After flat towing your 2017 GMC Canyon, you simply need to remove the tow bar connection and the tow bar wiring. Next you can remove your portable braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR or flip the switch for a vehicle integrated braking system like the Stay-In-Play Duo # SM99251. Finally you can reconnect your vehicle battery or simply flip the switch if you are using the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System # RM-766. That is all it takes and you are back to driving your 2017 GMC Canyon.
You of course will want to follow the prescribed towing procedures outlined in your owners manual. Just a reminder only four wheel drive vehicles with a two speed transfer case and a 4 low setting can be flat towed, so you will need to reengage your transfer case as well as what is described above.
