Troubleshooting Trailer Electrical Connector and Light Functions Not Working Correctly  

Question:

Trailer electrical connector. Rewired my electrical connector to my trailer the same way it come off, all lites is working and blinking but mute my marker tail lites are not working.

It sounds like when you replaced your trailer's connector, the marker lights at the rear of your trailer stopped working. This is most likely due to a ground connection that needs to be improved. Sometimes a ground connection is good enough for most functions but needs to be cleaned up for all lights to function as desired.

I recommend checking your main trailer ground connection to the frame first if you have one and making sure it is bare metal to metal and free of corrosion or debris. Then check your taillights which often have a separate ground wire or ground through your mounting hardware. Then, check the ground connection on those rear marker taillights which most of the time is through the mounting hardware. These connections need to be bare metal to metal as even paint can sometimes hinder the connection needed. If those marker lights aren't working at all, you will want to check for a short using a circuit tester like # PTW2993.
