Can the Curt T-Connector be Permanently Mounted on the Outside of a 2019 Toyota Highlander

I just purchased the Curt 56217 but I don't want to run it through the door when I want to use it. I would rather mount it next to the C13394 receiver so it is ready to go whenever. Is this possible on my 2019 Highlander?

Yes, you definitely can mount the Curt T-Connector # C56217 next to your hitch receiver so that it is readily available.
We haven't had any customers come in and ask for it to be installed that specific way yet (January 2019) so I don't have a video, but there should be a grommet in the rear cargo area of your 2019 Toyota Highlander that you can push the 4-Way Flat connector through.
If you need to cut the grommet to push the connector through then you can use some sealant like the Loctite # LT37467 to keep debris from getting through the grommet.
Once you have routed the 4-Way to your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13394 you can use the mount bracket # 18144 to permanently mount it there.
If you will be using this setup for towing a trailer then you also need a ball mount kit like the Curt Starter Kit # C45534. I have attached a helpful article on ball mounts for you to reference though to make sure that the 2-1/4" drop is correct for your application.
