Where are the Power Wires Located for the Electric Brake Controller Box and 7-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
wires under hood at fuse box found one can not find other one

Expert Reply:
The wires under the hood for power to the factory 7-Way and power for a brake controller under the dash are sometimes rather hard to see. The wire for the factory 7-Way power is located under the master cylinder and is taped to the wiring harness running along the firewall and under the vehicle, see attached photo.
The wire for the power to the brake controller wire under the dash is located between the fire wall and the power distribution box, and is also taped to a wiring harness that runs in that location, see photo.
I also added a more close up photo of the two wires on a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban for you to see.
If you need a brake controller for your truck or SUV, I would recommend the Tekonsha P-3 Trailer Brake Controller, # 90195, which is one of our highest rated controllers and is easy to setup, use and adjust.
