Some Nissan Titans and Armadas use a relay for the trailer running lights that's located under the dash to the left of the steering column. There should be slots for three blue relays, and if you're missing one, as shown in the photo, it would explain why the trailer running lights aren't working. We carry the relay in the Curt Relay Kit # C57000.
If it is the tail lights on your trailer that do not function, I suggest testing them directly first since this is easy to do and you do not need to buy anything.
All you need is a battery (like the one in the truck) and some wires to connect between the truck battery and the contacts on the trailer plug. This direct connection of 12V power makes it easy to check that all the different lighting circuits on the trailer work independent of any possible issues with the vehicle's wiring.
