Question:
I want to add another 12 volt battery in my van for running accessories only. How do I keep it charged when the engine is running? I want to keep the existing battery for regular van use only.

The first thought people tend to jump to is charging an additional battery via the alternator. The problem with this solution is that unless you are only powering smaller accessories like cell phones the alternator won't be able to sufficiently charge your auxiliary battery. For this case a solar panel system like the Go Power Kit # 34273836 with an Entry Plate # 34276245 would be your best bet.
If you can tell me how many amps your accessories are rated for and how long you plan on using them a day I can help you determine what solar panel kit is the best option for your application.
