For your kayak to be carried at bed level in your 2017 Ford F250, I recommend using the Erickson Big Bed Junior Load Extender - Roof or Truck Bed # EM07605. I've attached a video to assist with this application.
I also recommend using a hitch lock like # e98880 which can be keyed alike to secure this rack and etrailer Cam Buckle Cinch Straps # E98876-2 which have the neoprene cover guard to protect your kayak.
Because this will extend so far past your bed, you will need to use a flag to be legal in most states.
