Comparing RV Deadbolt Locks to Standard Home Deadbolt Locks
Question:
Do You know if this deadbolt will work on my 2009 Allegro Red? Do you if if regular Lowes/Home depot deadbolt is same?

Helpful Expert Reply:
A traditional home deadbolt lock has adjustable backset 2-3/8 inches to 2-3/4 inches which is similar to the Valterra Deadbolt Lock for RVs - Single Cylinder - Stainless Steel - 5/8" Throw # L32CS3008. The difference is the standard home entry door is 1-3/4 inches thick where the RV doors are 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches thick. I can't confirm a home style deadbolt will fit the thinner option of RV door but the thicker RV door it would fit.
You will need to measure the thickness of your door to determine fit.
