I have a great solution for you. The easy to use slider fifth wheel hitch I recommend for your 2018 Ram 2500 short bed with factory rail kit is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550034 with the Ram Rail Kit adapter part # DM6099. The hitch is the easiest to use option because unlike other manual sliders that require you to get out and operate them when needed this one will automatically slide back as you make tight turns so you don't ever have to think about it. The # DM6099 fits the Ram rail kit you have and then provides a set of rails that the Hijacker is designed to fit.
