Does Towing Rig Have to be on Level Ground for Pivot of Sidewinder Pin Box to Work

Question:

Hi I was reading on of he reviews they made a comment that you have to be on level ground for the pivot to work? meaning to be able to park or back up the truck on uneven ground. Is this correct?

You don't necessarily have to be on level ground for the pivoting pin box of the Sidewinder # RP34FR to operate correctly, but it does help for when you unhitch the trailer. The reason for this is that the wedge on the Sidewinder has to fit exactly in the funnel on your 5th wheel hitch so if you don't have the king pin/wedge lined up with your 5th wheel hitch it can get tricky. It won't have a problem when you are backing up or parking though, just for hooking back up to your trailer.

This really isn't any different than a standard pin box though because you would have to fit the king pin to the same jaws regardless if you have the Sidewinder or a standard pin box.
