Dimensions of Timbren Silent Ride Suspension Single Axle Trailer #TSRTSR3500S04

Question:

Looking for another dimension on the TImbren single axle leaf spring replacement. I was considering lowering the rating on my leaf springs which would be cheap but would also limit my ability to haul heavier loads. Basically trying to reduce the bouncing and harsh ride with lighter loads such as when I take the trailer camping. Saw the Timbren option on your site and trying to decide how big of job it would be to attach it to my trailer. It could interfere with existing structural members. See the attached image. I am seeking dimensions that are not shown on your website. Assuming my axle must remain in the same general location, I need to determine how far foward of the axle centerline the mount would go. Also not shown on this graphic are the plates that allow the connection of the 2inch x 2inch hollow steel crossmember but they are visible in the photographs of the product. Any dimensions on this would be good too. How far forward does this project. As it is mounted on an angle, Does the top of the cross member actually contact the underside of the trailer or is there a gap. If there is a gap, how big is it? Thanks!

I checked with Timbren and the distance you are looking for is 11-7/16” from the center of the axle to the front of the bracket that attaches the kit to your frame. Timbren also told me to tell you that this dimension will only be exact if the trailer does not have a load on it. With more weight on the trailer the dimension will increase slightly. The crossmember will still clear the frame by 9/16 inch. I added a picture that shows the dimension you asked about as well as a few more.
