Troubleshooting Titian Actuator with Electric Lockout Not Working When Backing up Driveway
Question:
I have the titan electronic solenoid accuator. When I back up my driveway without touching brakes the accuator engages. How do I get that to disengage while backing up hill without applying braked

Expert Reply:
If your electric lockout solenoid on your Titan actuator isn't engaging when you are backing up your driveway then either the wiring is broken so it isn't receiving the signal or the solenoid has gone bad and it needs replacing.
Check the wiring and if it looks good then the solenoid itself it likely the culprit and you would need part # T4748800 for Titan Model 6, Model 60, Aero 7500, and newer Model 10 and Model 20 actuators. If you have a 2000 or older Model 10 actuator, the adapter # T4750200 may be necessary for installation.
If this problem still persists then it could be that the solenoid is wearing down prematurely due to the amount of times you are backing up the hill. If this is the case then the Demco Solenoid Kit # DM5404 would be a better option because it releases any pressure that would build up while backing up a hill. Please note that this kit does require that you drill into your actuator for the installation.
