Supplemental Braking System for Flat Towing 2018 GMC Canyon Recommendation
Question:
Considering buying a Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon to flat tow behind my motor home. Since the MH is diesel powered I was considering purchasing it with the 4 cylinder duramax engine. The question is will the Battery disconnect switch RM-766 work with the this configuration? My tentative plan is to use it with an invisiBrake system. Any other thoughts appreciated. Thanks

Since the diesel engine version of your 2018 GMC Canyon has dual batteries the battery disconnect part # RM-766 that you referenced cannot be used. Reason being this kit can only disconnect a single battery.
If you are considering a permanent install supplemental braking system I'd recommend the SMI DUO part # SM99251 over the Invisibrake because this is a proportional system that senses the amount of braking that the tow vehicle is applying (Invisibrake puts out a preset amount of braking every time), and because it's easier to install. I attached an install video for this kit on a similar 2015 Colorado for you to check out as well.
