Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2019 Ford F-150

Question:

Just purchased a 2019 F-150 and I am already thinking about putting a transmission cooler in it as where I live it can get pretty hot. I really want to just build in some extra protection.

Transmission coolers are actually universal and the best one just depends on how much room you have. For your 2019 Ford F-150 I recommend the Derale Series 8000 # D13503 because it is the largest we have (measuring 11" wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep) and is a Class III cooler so you will get the best results using this cooler.

The best place to install it is between your grille and the AC condenser (position A) as this will ensure the most airflow resulting in the most efficient cooler results. If you don't have enough room in this location then the next best place is between the condenser and the radiator (position B). The 3rd best place is between the engine and radiator (position C) which won't have nearly as much airflow but will still help with the cooling process.
