Availability of Replacement B Linkage for Lippert Kwikee 28 Step for Motorhome
Question:
11/21/2018 We have a 2003 Monaco Executive MH. It has an original 2003 single-step Kwikee electric step. I think it is a model 28 that uses a B link. Can our broken B link be replaced? Also, if I junkedinch the entire current broken step, can a new step be installed as follows. Monaco installed it with an ON/OFF toggle switch, When I press ON it exntends the step and it STAYS OUT until I press OFF to retract it. I dont like the idea of every time the door opens the step goes out and when the door closes the step comes in. I can see the step going in and out 20 or more times per day. Thanks... PS, Who installs these steps?

We do have the linkage kit that matches what you said you have as part # LC379648. This is the Kwikee Electric Step "B" Linkage Repair Kit is designed for series 28, 29, 31 and 39 Kwikee electric steps. The kit comes complete with everything but the step and step frame. This is Kwikee part number 909533000. I attached a picture of what this looks like installed for you to check out and compare to what you have.
The Lippert Components Kwikee 28 # LC3747453 that you referenced would be the same as what you have if you wanted to fully replace it. But with just the linkage kit you should be fine.
Easiest place to find someone to install this would be to find a dealer near you who sells motorhomes and let them install it.
