Diameter of Holes for the Demco Replacement Connecting Clevis for the Commander Tow Bar

Question:

We have the Demco tow bar, model #951101, with all parts. The problem is the Jeep we bought had an after market bumper installed that contains the loops for the clevis pin that connects the clevis but the holes in the loops are 1" diameter. My husband called Demco yesterday and they said they did not make anything that would work. My husband thinks he will probably have to create some sort of "bushing" to insert in the holes. Unless you have anything that would work.

Thank you for the information! Demco was correct that they don't have any adapters for their tow bars like your Kwik Tow DM9511011 to fit with the D-Rings on your Jeep but we do have some other adapters. Roadmaster has their D-Ring adapters that can be used with their Falcon 2 # RM-520 tow bar. If you have 3/4" thick shackle mounts use part # RM-035 but if you have 1" thick shackle mounts use part # RM-035-1. You can try using bushings but I recommend using a setup that was designed specifically for your D-Ring mounts as you don't know how the bushings will hold up over time.
